Editorial Policy

OrientDig Field Notes is written and reviewed as an independent browsing guide. This page explains who is responsible for the copy, what gets checked, and where the limits are.

Our standard

We keep claims narrow, separate observation from verification, link to current primary sources when rules matter, and state clearly when a decision belongs to the platform, seller, carrier, or reader.

Who writes and reviews the guides

The OrientDig Field Notes editorial team prepares and reviews the public pages. We use an organization byline because no individual specialist credential is being claimed. The site is independent and does not represent OrientDig, Findsindex, a seller, carrier, warehouse, or payment provider.

What we check before publishing

  1. The page answers a real browsing question before asking the reader to open another site.
  2. Operational claims are kept out unless a current primary source supports them.
  3. Internal links, category destinations, source links, and visible page labels match their destinations.
  4. Prices, delivery times, inventory counts, ratings, and guarantees are not invented or copied from an unrelated date.
  5. Advice distinguishes product evidence from seller, payment, shipping, or platform verification.

Source hierarchy

We prefer the current page responsible for a rule or action. Live product and category destinations are checked directly. Carrier definitions come from carrier documentation, while general online-shopping safety guidance comes from public cyber-safety and site-status resources.

A linked source supports only the nearby point. It does not verify every spreadsheet row, seller, platform, or order.

Updates and corrections

A visible review date means the page’s wording, links, and stated boundaries were checked on that date. External pages can change afterward. When a destination changes, a source no longer supports a statement, or a clear error is found, the page should be corrected and reviewed again.
